Art in English for Kids, Summer 2010

For:
7-10 years old children, who are English speaking or want to practice English while enjoying art-making

Time:
Week 31 (August 2nd - 6th), 2010, 9:00-12:15

What we'll do:
Workshop with Eungyung:
We will be using various materials- painting, drawing, and three-dimensional materials throughout the program to emphasize on free self-expression through art- art as communication, expression and connection. In this workshop, the process of art-making is as important as the finished product. Children will also spend time writing about their own process of art-making as reflection, then have time to share their art works, thoughts and feelings with the group.

Workshop with Laura:
We will create a place together using one element from each participant's own world. We will draw, paint and cut-out using pencils, paint, paper, tape, cardboards and other various materials. Children will first work independently drawing a picture and then share a chosen element of the personal world with others creating a common, fictional space.

Exhibition:
The last day of the workshops, we will have an exhibition where the children can see their creations during the week. Parents and visitors are welcome to celebrate and marble with us!
